The Mazzer Robur S is a commercial conical burr grinder developed for high-volume environments. It is a redesigned successor to earlier Robur models, featuring updated internal mechanics and workflow improvements while maintaining the durable motor and burr set the series is known for. The revised grinding chamber, updated interface, and improved retention control contribute to a more efficient workflow for busy commercial settings.

Reduced Retention

The redesigned grinding chamber and lower burr carrier are engineered to reduce retention compared to previous Robur models. The updated lower burr carrier also provides easier access for cleaning while maintaining the user’s grind adjustment setting.

Cleaning Access

The Robur S features a stationary upper burr with adjustments made via the lower burr carrier. This layout enables cleaning without altering the grind setting, supporting routine maintenance in commercial environments.

Grind Flow Control System

The Grind Flow Control (GFC) system includes a removable aluminum outlet insert designed to accept interchangeable wire dampers, available separately. The preinstalled damper is intended to support consistent particle flow and reduce clumping. The digital interface provides access to grinder adjustments and system settings.

Cooling System

The grinder uses a two-fan cooling system. A fan mounted on the 800 W motor operates during grinding, while a secondary low-voltage fan continues briefly after grinding cycles to help stabilize internal temperature. This system is designed for environments with continuous or high-volume use.

Programming and Dosing

The Robur S offers programmable time-based dosing with three dose settings. A barista-pause function allows the grinder to pause during a programmed dose and resume when the same button is pressed again. Adjustments to finer grind settings must be performed while the grinder is running to avoid burr obstruction.
